//Cloud & DevOps

Cloud & DevOps so you can deploy daily and sleep nightly.

If deploying means one person running commands from a laptop, or your cloud bill is a monthly surprise, we can help. We set up pipelines, infrastructure as code and monitoring so shipping is boring and the bill makes sense.

//The problem

The problem you're living with.

Infrastructure problems stay invisible until they're very visible, usually at 2am on a weekend.

  • Deploys are manual, and only one person knows how to do them.
  • Staging doesn't match production, so "it worked on staging" means nothing.
  • The cloud bill went up again and nobody can say why.
  • You find out about outages from customers, not from alerts.
What it really costs

Manual operations slow every release, make every outage longer, and put the whole company at risk when that one key person is away.

//Our fix

What we build.

Pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring and cost control on the cloud you choose.

01

CI/CD pipelines

Build, test and deploy on every merge with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or your tool of choice, with one-click rollbacks.

02

Infrastructure as code

Terraform or Pulumi definitions for every environment, reviewed like code and reproducible on demand.

03

Containers and orchestration

Docker and, when it's actually needed, Kubernetes, or simpler managed services when they're a better fit.

04

Monitoring and alerting

Logs, metrics, traces and alerts that wake the right person for the right reasons, and not for the wrong ones.

05

Cloud cost optimisation

Tagging, right-sizing, reserved capacity and cleanup, with a dashboard that shows where the money goes.

06

Security and backups

Least-privilege access, secrets management, automated backups and restore drills that prove they work.

//How it works

How it works, step by step.

No big bang. Small, measured steps with a working demo every week.

  1. 01
    01

    Review what's running

    We map your environments, deployments, costs and incidents, and find the biggest risks.

  2. 02
    02

    Codify it

    Existing infrastructure is captured as code, so it can be reviewed, reproduced and changed safely.

  3. 03
    03

    Automate the pipeline

    Every change goes through the same build, test and deploy path, with no laptop deploys.

  4. 04
    04

    Add observability

    Dashboards and alerts on the things your customers actually feel, like errors, latency and availability.

  5. 05
    05

    Hand over the keys

    Runbooks, documentation and training, so your team can run it without us.

//The outcome

What changes for your team.

What we aim for, measured against how things run today. We don't promise numbers before we've seen your baseline.

Deploys become routine

Many small, safe releases instead of a few big, risky ones.

Faster recovery

Good alerts and easy rollbacks shrink outages from hours to minutes.

A cloud bill you understand

Costs broken down by product and environment, with waste removed.

No single point of failure

Knowledge lives in code and runbooks, not in one person's head.

What we'd tell a friend

What we'd tell a friend about cloud & devops

You probably don't need Kubernetes yet. A managed container service and a good pipeline will carry most products a long way. Add complexity when the pain is real, not when a conference talk makes it sound cool.

What we won't do

What we won't do

  • Build infrastructure only we can operate.
  • Add Kubernetes because it's fashionable.
  • Leave production without backups we've actually restored from.
//FAQ

Cloud & DevOps: your questions.

Which clouds do you work with?

AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, plus platforms like Vercel, Cloudflare and Fly.io where they fit. We don't take commissions from providers.

How can you reduce our cloud costs?

Usually through right-sizing, removing unused resources, better storage tiers, reserved or committed-use pricing, and fixing chatty architectures. We start with a cost review that shows where the money goes.

Do we need Kubernetes?

Often not. Managed services like AWS ECS, Cloud Run or App Service are simpler and cheaper to run for many products. We recommend Kubernetes when your scale or architecture genuinely calls for it.

Can you set up on-call and incident response?

Yes: alerting, escalation rules, runbooks and simple post-incident reviews. We can take part in on-call during a hand-over period too.

Will our team be able to maintain it?

That's the goal. Everything is in code, documented and explained, and we train your team before we step back.
