UI/UX design that survives contact with engineering.
Beautiful mockups are easy. Screens that real people understand the first time, that engineers can build without guessing, and that still look right six months later are harder. That's the work we do.
The problem you're living with.
Most design problems aren't about colours. They show up as support tickets, drop-offs and features nobody uses.
- Users get stuck at the same step, and nobody can say why.
- The designs you approved look nothing like what was built.
- Every screen looks a little different because there's no shared design system.
- Accessibility came up late in the project, and now it's an expensive retrofit.
Confusing software costs you in onboarding time, support load and customers who never come back. And redesigning after launch costs far more than getting the flow right first.
What we build.
Research, flows and interfaces designed with the engineers who will build them.
User research
Interviews, task observation and analytics review to find out where people actually struggle.
UX flows and information architecture
How screens connect, what goes where, and what the user sees at every step, including errors and empty states.
Interactive prototypes
Clickable prototypes to test the risky parts with real users before anything is built.
Interface design
Clean, modern UI that fits your brand and is designed at every breakpoint, not just desktop.
Design systems
Tokens, components and usage rules shared between Figma and code, so the product stays consistent as it grows.
Accessibility by default
Contrast, focus states, keyboard support and screen-reader behaviour designed in to WCAG AA from the first screen.
How it works, step by step.
No big bang. Small, measured steps with a working demo every week.
- 0101
Understand
We talk to users and stakeholders, review analytics and support tickets, and write down the real jobs people are trying to do.
- 0202
Map the flows
User journeys and wireframes for the key paths, agreed with engineering before anything gets pretty.
- 0303
Prototype and test
Interactive prototypes tested with five or so real users. That's usually enough to find the biggest problems.
- 0404
Design the system
Final UI plus the components and tokens behind it, built alongside the engineers who will implement them.
- 0505
Check what ships
Designers review the built product every week, so what you approved is what goes live.
What changes for your team.
What we aim for, measured against how things run today. We don't promise numbers before we've seen your baseline.
Fewer "how do I..." tickets
Clear flows mean fewer confused users writing in.
Faster builds
Engineers work from components and clear specs, not guesses.
A consistent product
One design system instead of a patchwork of screens.
Accessible from day one
No expensive accessibility retrofit after launch.
What we'd tell a friend about ui/ux & product design
Watch five real users try your product without helping them. It's uncomfortable, it's cheap, and it will tell you more than a month of internal opinions.
What we won't do
- Hand over a Figma file and disappear before it's built.
- Design desktop-only and leave mobile as an afterthought.
- Treat accessibility as a nice-to-have.
UI/UX Design: your questions.
Do you only design, or also build?
Both. Our designers work in the same team as our engineers, which is the main reason what you approve is what ships. We also do design-only engagements if you have your own developers.
Can you work with our existing brand?
Yes. We extend your brand into a product design system, and flag anything in the brand that won't work well on screen, like low-contrast colours.
How much user research do we need?
Less than people think. A handful of focused interviews and one round of prototype testing catch most major problems. We scale it to your budget and risk.
Do you build design systems in code?
Yes. We build components in code, usually React with Tailwind, that match the Figma library, so design and development share a single source of truth.
What does WCAG AA mean for us?
It's the widely used accessibility standard: sufficient contrast, keyboard access, clear focus, screen-reader support and more. It helps people with disabilities, improves usability for everyone, and is increasingly a legal requirement.
